Bidar-Chandrampally Circuit

Chandrampally Lake

This circuit is perfect for weekend outing with one night camping at Chandrampalli forest rest house. There is a four lane highway from Hyderabad to Zaheerabad (100km) and then single road till Bidar. Historical sites are not that great, having old fort and the new one with beautiful landscape and Solah khamba masjid. Good collection of artifacts and fire arms can be seen at fort museum. For mystical experience, Narsimha Jharni temple visit is a must. Walking through 100m long water cave approach to the Garbhgirah of the temple can talk you through time travel feeling. Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib Gurudwara can be visited for museum and Amrit kund dip and free lunch at langar hall. Lot of jet fighter planes can be seen during their practice session in the morning.

After Zaheerabad, single road through green fields and 4-5 small villages will take you to Kollur village junction. Traffic free road swings up and down in a big valley. Kollur to Chandrampalli is only 4km on the left. After security gate which is in the village, a single road along the bank of reservoir will lead you to forest rest house. Forest trails by foot can be followed early in the morning with forest guide
.
